People, I am very sorry for this long absence. But I've been so wrapped into school and stuff like that. I think tomorrow, I've got about two projects due, a research paper and a poetry portfolio. I'm not done with the research paper because I'm supposed to do an interpretation of a song that my teacher gives me...except he's been sick this entire week.
So I'm just like ripping my hair out trying to figure out if I should print out what I have of my paper...even though I'm not done. I'm hoping that he changes the due date because I am just very confused.
Along with the research paper, I've got a poetry project. I wrote about five poems and I'm supposed to present them in a pretty type of way. However, I am not creative nor am I artistic so my project looks like crap! Yay, go Ice Queen!
So I'm cutting papers and just gluing things in, trying to make it seem not as ugly. Urgh! Ice Queen is not a poet! Allow me to share with you one of my horrible poems...
Death's Warning
Death once stared me straight in the eye
Yes, believe me because it is true
Indeed it caught me by total surprise
As he stood there reaching his hand for mine
Death grinned and invited me along with him
No, I answered, I may never come back
Death shook his head and looked at me again
Why do you need to live, he spoke with a bitter laugh
His words made total sense to me
Whose life had I affected or what had I done
That gave me the rights to live here longer
I was trapped before death, unable to run
I bowed my head in total shame
Death let out a sigh and dropped his hand
But don’t worry, I’ll be back again
Until then remember what I’ve said
Life is a gift from our Father
Don’t waste it.
My friends dared to accuse me of being emo. I wrote about living life in a good way. How is that emo? Well, I did write a poem about darkness, but whatever!
Along with school, I've been getting sucked into high school drama! I HATE HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA. It's funny on TV but sucky when it actually happens to you. I'm trying to organize my life in this fashion: Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last. JOY? Haha...
But once I finish my homework, I just want to eat and sleep like the lazy Asian American that I am. I'll be honest, about 90% of American teenagers are completely and totally lazy. If you're American...you know it's true! You do stuff but in your mind, you'd rather be eating and sleeping. Ah yes, the American Dream.
Because I am a lazy Asian American, I haven't been typing up stories for a loooong time. I think I've lost my flare for writing. I really suck at it. Seriously. Ice Queen's not a good writer.
But I will update as soon as I regrow all the hair that I have ripped out. Sorry for this looooong ramble but I needed a break from crap. And now I have to do my Spanish homework. No quiero mi tarea...:[. (I think that's how you say "I don't want to do my homework" in Spanish)
Sigh.
Anywho, I'll keep you guys updated and I'll update one of my stories soon.
